Self-Care Is Different For Everyone

Self-Care Is Different For Everyone

What do we do when we don't know something? We google, go on TikTok, or any other form of the internet to figure out what it is that we seek so hard to understand. Although that does help, even if it is just a glimpse, you will not candidly know until you experience things yourself. Self-Care isn't linear. This journey has different forms, and you must find what works for you. Gaining information from others is ok, and sometimes it helps you to understand what you need to do for yourself, but do not think that what works for someone else will 100% work for you!

Another thing we often mess up with self-care is thinking that it is getting our nails done, going shopping, or getting our hair done. Although it all can help, you are treating and loving yourself, BUT you must put in the work, or else everything else is pointless. Temporary fixes are what I like to call them because you'll feel good, but only momentary. It would help if you got to the root of what makes you angry or sad.

I challenge whoever is reading this and are on their self-love journey to buy a new journal; we have an amazing one on our site (wink wink); once you get the journal, go home, and write all of the things you're scared of, things that have hurt you (old and new), and also things you want to accomplish. When you have finished, GET TO WORK. Work on the things you're scared of by tackling them one at a time. Identify, reflect, and let go of the things that have hurt you, and work toward every goal you have for yourself. Remember, we're never fully healed; there is always something we need to work on, but we must never give up, and we must always take it a day at a time.
